Ruins only: wait for the beckon line, then click the crown outside the map.
The Void Star is a Ruins click, not a luck roll. You will not find it in every biome, you will not get it from 5q44zGTV4U, and you will not get it from a 1/1M-per-tick comment about some other spawn. Sit Ruins until chat says the void star beckons you. Then look for a small crown or orb to the right of the huge door, along the right wall, or in the back corner outside the map. Click it. Community reports put the success chance around 1/10 while that message is up. The star despawns when the biome changes.
Bring a working click from controls and a kill habit from Getting Started. Cultist later wants one Void Star and about 100k sans collected. The rest of the guides hub assumes you can see the crown; this page is the click.
Where the star actually lives
Stay in Ruins. If the biome is not Ruins, you are in the wrong screenshot. When the beckon line prints, stop farming whatever common is in the doorway. Camera-pull until the huge door is centered, then pan right. The clickable is small on purpose. Players describe it as a crown, an orb, or a speck past the walkable floor. It does not always show a friendly mouse highlight.
Search order that wastes the least time:
- Right side of the huge door.
- Right wall beside that door.
- Back corner outside the map, still on the right-hand read of the room.
Click once. If nothing indexes, orbit a few degrees and click again. Do not sprint a lap of the whole experience. Other biomes will not hide a second star. If the message was real and the biome flips, the star is gone. Re-sit Ruins. Follow ComelyPlaything for +10% spawnrate if you have not; it helps the map cycle, not the click box.

After the star indexes, the rest of the showcase is why the click exists. Cultist trades the star plus ~100k kills into a Sigil of Invocation. Players report the sigil as likely permanent once you have it. Cultist himself stays until that interaction if you already meet the requirements, then despawns. Absolute Mainframe Blade is endgame gear in the same tape, not a second star. Do not pause the video at the blade and forget you still need sans collected in the 100k range.

After you index the star
Confirm it in your collection before you leave Ruins in a huff. Then keep clicking toward 100k. The counter is normal settings, right twice, sans collected. Cultist will not talk to a 12k account that already holds two stars in a brother’s screenshot. He wants your kills and a Void Star.
When those two gates are real, Cultist is the NPC for Distortion, not a True Dust skip. Distortion’s spawn is community ~1/2.2M after the sigil. True Dust is a separate Hellbreaker hunt on True Dust. You can hold the star, the sigil, and a Hellbreaker plan on the same account. You cannot substitute one click for the other.
Private servers help because Ruins tourists will change the biome or stand in the camera. If you own the server, ;cmds lists owner tools and ;stopspawns is for rares, not for the star itself. Mobile, Xbox, and wasted biomes
Phones and Xbox lose this click more than any other. The target is small and often outside the map. Zooming is the usual advice and the usual failure. If you cannot select the crown, you cannot brute force it with luck. Farm weapons on the weapon page from a touch device if that is all you have, then borrow a mouse for one Ruins evening.
Do not AFK in Ruins with the menu open covering the right wall. Do not leave when the message appears because a common spawned left. Do not confuse a soul cube recolor with a Void Star index. When the crown finally clicks, leave this page and open Distortion so Cultist is the next NPC you actually look for, not another hour of staring at the door.
